Dust in Riyadh is not a cosmetic issue. A layer of dust on the coils blocks heat exchange, so the compressor runs longer to reach the same temperature — your bill rises while cooling gets worse. Washing twice a year is the simplest maintenance there is, and the one with the biggest effect.
What the wash covers
Removing the front cover, washing the filters, cleaning evaporator and condenser coils at correct pressure with safe foaming agents, cleaning the blower wheel, clearing the condensate drain line, then sanitising, drying, reassembling and testing.
Bad smells
Odour on start-up is usually mould and bacteria growing in the drain line and on damp coils. Sanitising after washing treats the source rather than masking the smell.
When you need it
We recommend twice a year: once before summer starts in March or April, and once after peak heat. If the unit faces an unpaved road or a construction site, three times is better.
Effect on your bill
A dirty unit draws noticeably more electricity to reach the same temperature. In homes with several units the difference shows on the bill within a month.

Yes, and it is usually the better way. We wash all the units in the same visit and test cooling in each room before leaving, rather than coming back time after time.
How often should an AC be cleaned?
Twice a year is enough for most Riyadh homes. Three times if the unit is exposed to heavy dust from an unpaved road or nearby construction.
Will cleaning stop water dripping indoors?
Usually yes, because the most common cause is a drain line blocked with dust and algae. If dripping continues after clearing, the cause is normally installation tilt or a cracked drain pan, which we handle separately.
How long does cleaning take?
30 to 45 minutes per split unit, including sanitising, drying and a running test.
Does cleaning really affect the electricity bill?
Yes, measurably. Dirty coils force the compressor to run longer, and cooling is the largest share of household electricity use in Riyadh during summer.
